Our History
In 1983, our company began from a humble shop in the heart of Middlesbrough and took its first foray into the packaging world. It was the start of an exciting journey.
1983
1990 was a massive year for Magnum Packaging whereby we took our first major step in our growth journey by moving into a 12,000 square foot industrial unit. Due to rapid growth over the following years, we acquired land around the same premises and expanded the building with a further 23,000 square feet of unit space added to give us a total of 35,000 square feet. This gave us the ability to hold more stock, and then push and grow the business to the next level.
In 2006, our company expanded greatly with a move to a significantly large site North of the River Tees on Haverton Hill Industrial Estate in Billingham. With warehousing space of 80,000 square feet on a total site area of 7.5 acres, we were able to progress and move the company forward, but it still wasn’t enough. Further rapid growth took us through to 2012 whereby we added an extension of 70,000 square feet to the original unit to give us a total capacity of 150,000 square feet. This additional space pushed us forward and allowed us to become one of the leading packaging companies in the UK.
2006
2019
2019 was another exciting year for Magnum Packaging, which resulted in further expansion in a move that should shape the company for the decades to come. We are now situated on a 15 acre site and have warehousing space of approximately 350,000 square feet with the ability to store 30,000 pallets. This gives us the capability to hold large amounts of stock at any given time, thereby providing us with an unparalleled advantage in the market.
